I think they mean the system speaker. Which can do a beep at most.
Else, how else do you get an output? do they think there are a set of magical speakers inside the machine?

This is possibly one of the stupidest questions I have ever seen about computers oO;; and I've heard a few.

The system speaker is capable of a lot more than a beep. You can do just about anything with it, if you're motivated.

Yes, and the same thing works for a Graphics card, although you'll need to remove the computer casing to see it.
