There's a storm in my teacup!

Well, in my dollar store mug.

Big Apple Bobbing.
Did you know I'm going to America within a month? No? Neither did I. That's why life is great.

This afternoon, Jamie was looking at the prices of return flights to New York for July. July is a time of the year that her friends will be around, and she could also pack various items safely from her house (it's to be sold off) and head back to England having said her goodbyes to a lot of things. However, this trip would cost in excess of £500 for each of us, and we also found out tonight that her house would be sold off before July and she might not get to say goodbye at all to it.

So, in an absolutely frightening moment of spontaneity, I said to Jamie that we should leave for New York sooner rather than later. She could meet friends and say goodbyes to things like her house, while we try to set a plan into action that keeps her over here. And it'd cost about £250 a person - far thriftier, and I don't suffer as many obnoxious tourists enjoying the New York summertime! Or cicadas.

If we actually go through with this plan to travel to the US, I'll be disappearing in late April. To anyone in the New York area on my friends list, I don't know how much time I'll have free - it sounds like Jamie's already got a lot of friends of hers who want to catch up with her, and I imagine they'd like to meet me in the process. If you're content with joining a group of people you don't really know and have no problems with wandering aimlessly around with them, let me know and it'll be easy to meet you. Well, easier to meet you. No promises here.

Past that, I have no idea what's going on. I'll visit American places and might be able to ship off inane postcards to all and sundry. I might buy American things. I might be considered a terrorist, due to the beard. This won't be any worse than the trip to California, though - it'll probably be the best trip I'll go on, in fact. Well, apart from the time I was very young, in Spain, and attacked monkeys with balloons for a few days a week. Ah, childhood ignorance, how I adore thee.

Now, with this information passed on to the world, I should sleep. Lots of work to do tomorrow, and a picture journal I want to set up when I get back from work, and pictures I want to take, and so on and so on. Lots of little things to do. I don't even know why I'm up so late right now - apart from taking an age to word this post correctly enough for me to feel satisfied enough with it to post it up. Stupid me.

That sounds like a great deal on plane tickets. You have 50 stops and it'd take a week to get there, wouldn't it? ;]

I haven't been to New York, so enjoy it a little extra for me!

Oh wow fantastic, you lucky sod! ;) Make sure you see some of Broadway now Dean, hehe. Aw it'll be sad for Jamie though...

Terrorist Dean, haha!!

Yeh, I commented on Jamie's post already, but I won't be able to see you guys due to school. =( If only you'd come about a month earlier when I was out for a week!

Send me a postcard, even though I'm American and don't find any American places that exciting. =P
