There's a storm in my teacup!

Well, in my dollar store mug.

I have to travel to Edinburgh to complete the next step of the visa process - the medical examination. This will happen on the 7th of July, which means I need to find accomodation around a hospital (how cheerful) for a day before and after the exam, most likely.

I like that this spontaneity of travelling so far for this medical surprised even Jamie. But given the alternatives meant more waiting, Edinburgh was the obvious choice.

Do you know, one day I might write about what has been happening in my life, rather than using livejournal as a memo system for myself.

No, no, no, you should draw it out, frame by frame in stickies, and we can put them together into a film!

i miss your fanficul witticisms and sagely advice. your occasional post-it notes regarding events beyond my understanding do not soften the blow.

The problem with doing too much is that it gives you little time to try to describe it to all and sundry in an impressive and entertaining method.

Adorable icon! Is that you? Awww...

Yes, it's me from my uncle's first wedding.

I was 6. The hat was too big for me.

Argh fucking visa applications (has been given an interview 10 days before i have to go).

I have no interview date as of yet! Joyeux!

They're going to stick needles in your arms while forcing you to sing the American National Anthem and recite the 50 states. It's the American way.

Maybe even the American dream...

At least it's not the states and the capitals.

How long is the exam? ?_?

I've never experienced one. It's going to be 'thorough'; arguably in the Big Lebowski way.

OOH. Try and get a place to stay near the Western General. Then you can pop in one day and I can get you a free tea or something. :3

Does the Western General do medicals for US visas?

(Is it the primary hospital in the city?)

I wanna take the time to say I'm sorry for neglecting your journal. Man do I have a lot of catching up to do.
Theres so many things I have wanted to say but I feel its probably better to email them to you, considering I'm one to babble. I haven't been on my own livejournal either. It's practically dead.

Just reply to me as soon as you get this message. Until I can read up to all your current posts I just hope you're ok. And safe...

I've missed you.

btw that was me. ugh.

I'm safe. All is well.

That's good. Sorry if I sounded like a worry-wort. I'll probably email you soon. That is, if you don't mind.
